"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the ends of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

 THE OCCASION

Making this occasion Count

Your baptism is a wonderful opportunity to share your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with your family and friends.

How can you make the most of this occasion? Start with a simple invitation to your baptism. Whom do you know who has not yet heard the good news about Jesus? Inviting them to your baptism is a simple but effective way to begin following the instructions of the Word of God.

1st STEP - What Should Happen Before Baptism?

The First step is Salvation. Those who accept the message of the gospel receive salvation.

Have you experienced a specific moment when you repented of your sins, asking God to forgive you?

Asking the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and life? If not, it is essential that you take that step first before seeking water baptism.

Those who accepted his message were baptized.”

Acts 2:41 (NIV)

 YOUNG CHILDREN

Should they be Baptized?

Water baptism is for believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and have repented of their sins.

Infants and very young children should not be baptized. They should be dedicated to the Lord for His guidance and divine protection.

Parents, Grandparents, God parents and spiritual parents should train up a child to know right from wrong, until that child comes into the awareness of their sins unto God, and/or these spiritual truths shared in this lesson.

They should not be baptized.  It is not recorded anywhere in the Bible that infants or very young children were baptized into water as Jesus was.

 VOLUNTEER

What does a Volunteer need to do?

As a Water Baptism Volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to register candidates, set up for baptism, help with check-ins, guide people to different areas, help in changing area, hand out towels and be a part of the team that makes this event a huge success and celebration.

 THE WHO

Who May Be Baptized

In the scriptures, people heard, believed, and received the Word of God, and then were baptized. Repentance and faith always preceded water baptism. Therefore baptism is for believers.
